YENAGOA — The Bayelsa State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has joined family, friends, and associates to celebrate the Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, PhD, on the occasion of his 60th birthday.


In a congratulatory message issued on Friday and signed by the Acting Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Alasuote Wright, the PDP described the Deputy Governor as a shining example of loyalty, humility, and service, whose political journey continues to inspire confidence in Bayelsa’s future.


The statement, issued on behalf of the State Chairman, Hon. Barr. Alabh George Turnah, MON, commended Ewhrudjakpo for his remarkable devotion to the ideals of the PDP and his unwavering service to the people of Bayelsa.


“Over the years, His Excellency has shown remarkable courage and consistency in promoting good governance, inclusivity, and the development of Bayelsa, even in the face of daunting challenges,” the PDP noted.


The party further emphasized that Ewhrudjakpo’s contributions in governance and his steady loyalty to the PDP remain invaluable to the party’s growth and the collective progress of Bayelsa State.


“The Deputy Governor represents a rare blend of loyalty, humility, and statesmanship. His political journey continues to inspire both young and old, reaffirming the PDP’s commitment to grooming leaders who place the people first,” the statement added.


The PDP family in Bayelsa prayed for God’s continued blessings, strength, wisdom, and long life for the Deputy Governor, wishing him fulfillment in his service to God, the state, and humanity.

The workshop, which focused largely on drug abuse and its associated dangers, was part of ongoing efforts to align troops' activities with the vision of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede The one day sensitization workshop was held under the supervision of the Chief of Civil-Military Affairs, Nigerian Army, Major General Gold Chibuisi.
