PDP Caretaker Chairman, Barr. George Turnah, Pays Tribute at Burial of Madam Sabana Ukachukwu


The Chairman, Caretaker Committee of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State and Zonal Secretary of the PDP South South Zone, Barr. Alabh George Turnah, MON, today Friday 9th May, 2025, arrived Igbogene in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, to attend the burial ceremony of Late Madam Sabana Ukachukwu Gbenizibe Jerry Ekwems, who passed on at the age of 91.


Barr. Turnah, who joined family members, friends, and sympathizers to pay last respects to the nonagenarian, described her as a woman of virtue whose legacy will live on through the lives she touched.


He extended heartfelt condolences to his friend, Wilson Mumeya, and the bereaved family, urging them to take solace in the fact that Mama lived a fulfilled life and has gone to be with her Maker.



He prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and strength for the family in this period of mourning.


On Turnah's entourage were members of the caretaker committee of the PDP in the state.

The workshop, which focused largely on drug abuse and its associated dangers, was part of ongoing efforts to align troops' activities with the vision of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede The one day sensitization workshop was held under the supervision of the Chief of Civil-Military Affairs, Nigerian Army, Major General Gold Chibuisi.
