Fayose absent as Ekiti PDP conducts local government Congress

The peoples democratic party in ekiti state has conducted its state local government congresses with former governor Ayodele Fayose conspicuously absent from the exercise.

Chairman, Electoral Panel who monitored the congresses Eddy Olafeso, shortly after monitoring the exercise alongside journalists said he is satisfied with the conduct of the Congress which was conducted in the presence of security agencies and inec officials.

Olafeso further noted that the people's Democratic party in ekiti state is now ready to reclaim governance from the ruling APC in the coming 2026 governorship in the state.

Meanwhile, reasons for the non participation of former governor fayose in the just concluded local government congress is still unclear, as internal crisis continue to rock the ekiti state chapter of the PDP.

The workshop, which focused largely on drug abuse and its associated dangers, was part of ongoing efforts to align troops' activities with the vision of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede The one day sensitization workshop was held under the supervision of the Chief of Civil-Military Affairs, Nigerian Army, Major General Gold Chibuisi.
